Towel-drying hair: keep your natural direction
After washing, your hair is especially movable. Hard rubbing feels quick, but makes it harder to calmly build the direction you want afterwards.
Press water out
Pat or squeeze your hair with a towel instead of rubbing forcefully back and forth. This removes water without unnecessarily scrambling the front, crown or natural texture.
Keep the direction of the haircut
After drying, place the hair roughly in the direction you plan to blow-dry or air-dry it. With curly or wavy hair, this helps avoid continually pulling the natural movement out.
Stop when it is towel-dried
Your hair does not need to be completely dry before the next step. Leave enough moisture if you will blow-dry or use a product that works on towel-dried hair.
