Resetting hat hair: give compressed roots room again
A cap temporarily changes the direction and volume of your hair. That is normal. A practical routine starts by accepting which areas get compressed, instead of immediately setting them with a thick layer of product.
Start at the roots
Lift the roots with your fingers and reset the intended direction. A little water or a short blow-dry can help when the impression has been there for a long time.
Reshape the top
Then finish only the visible top with your hands or a small amount of product. Do not try to make every hair sit exactly the same; a slightly looser finish often resets faster.
Plan around your real routine
If you wear a cap daily, mention it at your appointment. A barber can help think through a shape that remains practical and quick to reset after taking it off.
